1bromo2methylpropane Silver Nitrate
Viewing the reaction of bromoisobutane with silver nitrate One evening, during the fast, I wanted to observe the reaction of 1-bromo-2-methylpropane (bromoisobutane) with Silver Nitrate (silver nitrate). Then I took an appropriate amount of bromoisobutane, placed it in a clean vessel, and slowly dripped into the silver nitrate solution.

Instantly, there seemed to be subtle changes in the solution. At first, it was still calm, and suddenly, there was a slight turbidity looming, like the beginning of a mist. Soon, the turbidity became more and more obvious, and there was precipitation, and the color was light yellow, just like the beginning of autumn frost.

Looking at this reaction, consider all kinds of chemical principles. In bromoisobutane, the activity of bromine atoms is quite strong. When silver nitrate is encountered, bromine ions and silver ions attract, and then form a silver bromide precipitation. The generation of this precipitation is actually the result of the interaction between ions.

The wonders of chemistry can be seen in this small test. Substances meet and change in thousands, hidden or obvious, all following the laws of nature. I should devote myself to my research to explore the subtleties of chemistry, and I can only live up to this desire for knowledge.
